Our Apprenticeship Programme is a mixture of on the job learning and attending college classes 1 day a week. The college programmes are delivered on line by tutors in a live environment. This is a 3 year Apprenticeship Programme.

PHARMACY ASSISTANT APPRENTICESHIP (SCQF Level 6)

A Pharmacy Assistant is a key part of the pharmacy team as the first person the patient interacts with.  Whilst working within the safe parameters of your job role, you will be expected to give safe and up to date advice on a range of healthcare conditions and supporting pharmacy services.   Your role involves handling over the counter sales and consulting with patients face to face.   You will also be expected to stock and maintain a clean and safe environment for both your customers and your team.

This Apprenticeship Programme is completed whilst carrying out your role and completing modules to capture your learning and develop further knowledge.  This is a 18 month to 2 year Apprenticeship Programme.

Ideally you will have Maths, English and Chemistry qualifications to national level 5.

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN APPRENTICESHIP (SCQF LEVEL 8)

A Pharmacy Technician is a member of the pharmacy team who supports a registered pharmacist by assisting with the assembly and supply of medications and providing information about pharmaceutical products to patients and other healthcare professionals.

Your role can involve managing medicine supply and providing a check of work by other pharmacy staff, to ensure prescriptions are processed in a safe and legal manner.

 Ideally you will have Maths, English qualifications to national level 5 and a Chemistry qualification to national higher level.
