Salbutamol inhaler supply

Salbutamol Inhaler Supply

Introduction

What is a Ventolin Asthma Evohaler?

A Ventolin Asthma Evohaler delivers medication through inhalation, to alleviate the symptoms of asthma or other breathing issues. The primary ingredient is salbutamol sulphate. It is part of a larger category of medications known as fast-acting bronchodilators, which work by easing the passage of air through the lungs.

Symptoms of asthma such as coughing, wheezing and a tight chest may be relieved by a Ventolin Asthma Evohaler. It may also block future attacks by mitigating triggering factors such as exercise, pollen, dust, cigarette smoke and animal fur.

Inhalers can be damaging to the environment, but the propellant used in the Ventolin Asthma Evohaler is HFA 134A, which has a less severe impact.

Proper use and dosage of Ventolin Asthma Evohaler

It is possible to use Ventolin at any point in the day, whether or not you have food at the same time. If using Ventolin preventatively, puff once or twice, 10 and 15 minutes before you plan to exercise or when you know you are going to encounter a trigger. If trying to relieve an active asthma attack, try one or two puffs immediately.

As a regular asthma treatment, a 24-hour period should include four sets of two puffs.

. Sit or stand upright.

. Shake the inhaler four or five times.

. Exhale completely.

. Place your lips tightly around the mouthpiece.

. Inhale slowly and deeply through your mouth. Simultaneously press the canister pump.

. Hold your breath as long as is sustainable. This gives your body time to absorb the medicine.

. Wait for 30 seconds, then repeat as necessary.

You should feel the impact of Ventolin within five minutes. It is generally considered a fast-acting medication. The maximum dose within a single day is eight puffs. Do not take more than that.

Is Ventolin a steroid?

Ventolin is not classified as a steroid. Salbutamol, the active ingredient in Ventolin, is categorised as a bronchodilator, which means it alleviates asthma symptoms and improves your breathing by opening the airway.

Ventolin side effects

Around 10% of users will experience side effects from Ventolin.

These may include:

. Nervous/anxious feelings.

. Rapid heart rate/palpitations.

. Tremors/shaking, particularly in the hands.

Most side effects are brief in duration. They become less common after you have taken Ventolin multiple times, but can increase in likelihood after a higher dose, such as you might take in an emergency.
