Introduction

Mysimba

People who are looking to lose weight for health reasons can take Mysimba, which is a course of prolonged release tablets containing two ingredients known for reducing appetite and changing the taste of food – bupropion hydrochloride and naltrexone hydrochloride.

What is Mysimba?

Mysimba is a weight loss medication for adults aged 18+ who have a BMI or more than 30, the level which indicates obesity. It can also help with weight loss for those who have a BMI of at least 27 who have comorbidities, such as controlled hypertension or Type 2 diabetes.

It works by changing the feelings people have when eating and helping the brain in regulating appetite through its combination of bupropion hydrochloride and naltrexone hydrochloride.

What are the key benefits of Mysimba?

When combined with increased exercise and reduced calorie diet, it has been shown that MySimba helps people lose an average 5% body weight after just 16 weeks. This compares to just 1% for those not taking it. It can also help reduce triglycerides and LDL (bad) cholesterol, while those with diabetes have experienced improvements in controlling blood sugar levels.

How do you take Mysimba?

Mysimba is a tablet which can be taken with or without food. For the first week you take 1 tablet each morning. During the second week you take one tablet in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening. During the third week the dose is 2 tablets in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening. In the fourth week you should be taking 2 tablets both in the morning and in the evening.
