LOOK AFTER YOUR HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Take charge of your health and gain insights into your fertility hormone levels to understand how they might be affecting your ability to conceive.

Understanding your fertility hormone levels is a crucial first step toward making informed decisions about your reproductive health.

It’s important to note that female fertility is multifaceted. While the Female Fertility Test provides valuable information, it cannot offer a complete picture of your current or future fertility.

However, the results can serve as a starting point for discussions with your GP about your next steps.

Measuring your fertility hormone levels is particularly important if:

  • You are concerned about your future fertility
  • You want to check if your ovarian reserve aligns with expectations for your age
  • You are trying to conceive and need more information about your hormone levels
  • You want to begin a conversation with your GP about your fertility
  • You suspect you may be experiencing early menopause
  • You are simply curious to learn more about your fertility

WHAT IS TESTED FOR?

FSH is a crucial hormone produced by the pituitary gland in the brain, playing a key role in the normal functioning of the ovaries and regulating the menstrual cycle. On Day 3 of your cycle, FSH levels tend to increase as ovarian reserve decreases, making it an important marker of fertility.

Oestradiol, the primary female sex hormone, is essential for the development and maintenance of reproductive health. It supports various functions related to fertility and overall reproductive well-being.

Important Note: Recent studies have indicated that finger-prick blood collection may result in oestradiol levels being approximately 20% lower than those obtained through a venous blood draw. For further details, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

Anti-mullerian hormone, or AMH, is a hormone produced exclusively by ovarian egg follicles, making it a valuable indicator of ovarian reserve. Testing AMH levels can help determine if your ovarian reserve is within the expected range for your age.
