We know that getting ready to move away to college or university for the first time can be enormously exciting, but we also know how important it is to ensure that you are best placed to take good care of your health when you’re there.
Before beginning your studies, we highly recommend getting vaccinated against a number of diseases that can cause serious illness and disruption to your education and extracurricular activities. Our pharmacies provide these important vaccinations and you don’t even need to make an appointment beforehand.
Vaccinations
It is recommended that students have the following vaccinations before heading off to college or university:
Pneumonia Vaccination (one vaccination protects for 20 years)
Flu Vaccination (October to March annually)
DTP (Diphtheria, Tetanus & Polio)
MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
