Our UTI Test & Treat Service provides a simple, convenient way to diagnose and manage urinary tract infections (UTIs) such as cystitis without the need for an immediate GP visit. Available across the UK, this service allows you to test for a UTI at your convenience.
Following the test, if the result is positive, you can order a prescription through the TestCard app. The prescription will be approved by our pharmacist and delivered directly to your home, making the entire process seamless and efficient.
Who Can Use The Service?
This service is ideal for women aged 16 to 64 who are experiencing symptoms commonly associated with UTIs, such as a burning sensation during urination, cloudy urine, or an increased need to urinate. While pregnant women can use the TestCard UTI test, they should consult their GP for further advice and treatment if the test result is positive, as the online prescription service is not available for them.
What Is Cystitis?
Cystitis is a prevalent type of urinary tract infection (UTI) that is caused by inflammation of the bladder, typically resulting from a bacterial infection. It is an extremely common condition among women and, although it can be quite uncomfortable, it is usually easy to treat effectively.
Symptoms of cystitis include:
- A burning or stinging sensation when urinating
- The sudden urge to urinate more frequently
- Cloudy urine
- Pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen
How It Works:
Purchase a UTI Test Kit – You can purchase a UTI test kit either online through Amazon or directly from Amiry & Gilbride, in-store or via our online platform.
Download the TestCard App – Once you have your kit, download the TestCard App onto your smartphone. The app provides detailed instructions along with a helpful video guide to ensure you can complete the test accurately.
Receive Treatment – If your test results indicate a UTI, you can select the Amiry & Gilbride treatment option within the app. Our pharmacist will review your results, and if appropriate, prescribe MacroBid (nitrofurantoin), an effective antibiotic used to treat UTIs. Your medication will then be dispatched with next-day delivery, ensuring prompt treatment.

Cost: The UTI urine test kit is priced at £10. The pharmacist consultation and the supply of prescription-only medicine, if required, are an additional £20 plus shipping.
